Le Ruisseau is set amidst trees and lakes, just inland from the sandy beach of Bidart, the facilities at Le Ruisseau are as impressive as the surroundings. On one side of Le Ruisseau there's an exciting pool which is heated in low season. The two areas are divided by a small road which runs through the site. Over the road you find the ‘Hydro Health pool and indoor pool. The Hydro pool carries an entrance fee in July & August.

Resident ‘animateaurs provide a full range of activities and entertainment from mid July – August and with an abundance of golf course and watersports in the surrounding area, Le Ruisseau is an excellent site for an active holiday. From the Casino in Biarittz to the Basque dancing and Pelote games played in festivals in the smaller towns, the ‘Pays basque' is a fascinating region to visit and great for nightlife. In July & August a local shuttle bus runs free of charge between Le Ruisseau, Bidart and the beach.

Heading down the Cote d' Argent towards the Pyrennes and the Spanish border you will find yourself entering Basque country where fierce local pride and tradition of folklore are very much in evidence. The are the expansive pine forests of Les Landes – originally planted in the 19 th Century to prevent sand being blown inland by the Atlantic winds.

Biarittz

The Atlantic breakers make the beach at Biarittz a surfer's paradise and the town itself is an elegant Victorian resort complete with Casino.

Bayonne

The regions Basque capital with cobbled streets and half timbered house painted red and green.

St Jean de Luz

A very pretty fishing town which has a number of folk festivals throughout the summer. It a very good crescent shaped beach.
