Chateau Des Ormes is set in the grounds of an elegant Chateau on a vast estate of wooded parkland and lakes, Chateau Des Ormes is the most famous campsite in Northern France and is the figurehead of the Castels chain. The campsite is surrounded by gently rolling farmland with pretty wooded areas. Chateau Des Ormes is a family run site ideal for families, especially those with teenagers, as the extensive facilities and nightlife are guaranteed to keep everyone entertained.
Chateau Des Ormes has two exciting pool complexes with waterslides, chutes and waterfalls. The largest indoor campsite pool in France and the only ‘wave' pool in Brittany keep Chateau des Ormes ahead of the competition. Chateau Des Ormes has its own riding stables which cater for beginners on ponies right through to experienced equestrians. A tree top adventure course with zip wires and rope bridges is available for the brave. Other exciting facilities include bungy wires, rock climbing, canoeing and paintball.
Golfers and fishermen will be spoilt by the 18 hole golf course at Chateau Des Ormes which winds around the fishing lakes. A practice range and pitch and putt complement the set up. The golf club has a separate clubhouse and restaurant which is open to campers. Throughout the estate there are many cycle tracks which lead through to pretty Breton villages.
As the sun goes down take a quiet and relaxing drink in the piano bar or sample the delights of the a la carte restaurant at the on site Hotel.
Brittany has its own distinctive character, it goes without saying that its also the perfect place for a brilliant family holiday. Sandy beaches, protected coves and lively resorts are all close by. Inland there are picturesque towns and villages, impressive chateaux and, wherever you visit, you'll find it rich in folklore, history and tradition. Throughout the summer there are many fetes and festivals where you'll see traditional Breton dress being worn. Seafood is the speciality of the region with lobster, mussels and oysters featuring on many menus. Brittany is also known for it's creperies serving savoury gallettes and sweet crepes. All served with local cider which can be bought direct from apple orchards for a few euros a litre.

USEFUL INFORMATION:
- CLEANING/BREAKAGE DEPOSIT : 100,00 euro each mobile home
- VISITOR TAX to be paid on site
- FINAL CLEANING: on departure, the mobile homes must be clean and tidy otherwise 40,00 euro will be deducted from the deposit. Small pets are welcome, but the payment of 60,00 euro per mobile home for the final cleaning is obligatory
- CHECK-IN: from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm
- CHECK-OUT: from 8:00 am till 10:00 am

Chateau des Ormes is easily accessible by ferry from Portsmouth to St Malo (20 miles) or Caen (95 miles) or by low cost flight to Dinard (25 miles) & Rennes (25 miles)
